Anastasia State Park: 1600 Acres of Beauty

With 1,600 acres of pristine beauty, including untarnished beaches, gorgeous wetlands, and incredible sand dunes, Anastasia State Park truly is paradise on earth. It offers something for everyone and whether you like hiking or wildlife viewing, you’re sure to find your away here.

Camping is $28 per night, plus tax and a non-refundable $6.70 reservation fee. Your price includes water and electricity. If you are a Florida resident who is 65 or older or hold a social security disability award certificate or 100 percent disability award certificate from the federal government you get 50% off current campsite fees.

Wildlife Viewing

Anastasia is the perfect place to enjoy viewing some of Florida’s most gorgeous wildlife. This tidal marsh is filled with animal life. You’ll find manatees, sea turtles, fish, crabs, and marsh birds. In the dunes you might find an endangered Anastasia Island Beach Mouse. Wherever you are—the pavilion area, boardwalk, and beach overlook, you are sure to find gorgeous sites that will make you want to stay a while.

Water Sports

Sailing is a favorite among park visitors and can be done in Salt Run, which is an estuarine tidal marsh. All sailboats should obey signs and ensure they don’t disrupt wildlife habitat. If paddling is more your style you will love doing it in the Salt Run.

Visitors may enjoy sailing in Salt Run, the estuarine tidal marsh. For the safety of visitors and wildlife, operators of sailboats should obey signs, follow regulations, and keep the vessel from infringing on any habitat. If you enjoy surfing you will love how four miles of beach allow you to have a fabulous time catching waves. You can rent equipment from Island Beach Shop and Grill.

If swimming is more your thing then you will love the designated swimming area, which is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
